For those of you who haven’t heard, Lisa’s sister Alicia was brutally attacked. She was stabbed 9 times, had her throat slashed twice and then shot 3 times! I am happy to report she is stable and getting better daily. Alicia has a 15 month old baby girl and all her family lives in Kansas. The crime took place in Alabama were Alicia lives now. I am so thankful for all the prayers and concern coming in I thought I would take a minute to ask one more favor. Alicia and her family could really use your financial support as well. Most of her family has driven up here and are staying in hotels which is very costly. I ask that if you have anything to give please do, the family could really use your support. I will see to it all donations go directly to them. Any amount is greatly appreciated!
Update: I gave the family the donations received so far before we left. They broke down into tears of appreciation! Please keep them coming as they will need to stay in Alabama for another week to two weeks before moving her back home.
Update: Please keep the prayers coming in as Alicia goes in for surgery this morning 11/8/11 at 10:00am to remove the bullet from her jaw.
Update: Alicia’s attacker has been caught and is in custody!!!
Update: Alicia’s surgery has been postponed due to breathing complications that have now been addressed. She will be going in for surgery as soon as the have room. I’ll keep you updated.
Update: Alicia’s surgery was a success! The damage to her jaw was actually not as bad as they had first thought. Now it’s a road to recovery!
Update: Alicia had a cat scan and due to fragmentation they are going to have to remove the bullet next to her spine. She goes in Monday for surgery so please keep the prayers coming, it is a very serious surgery.
